Funding Initiatives



Gifts From our alumni and friends are used to:

  • recruit and retain outstanding faculty;
  • offer scholarships and awards to deserving students;
  • support ongoing program activities.

Our current funding initiatives are listed below:


The DSH Faculty Fund:

Contributions to this fund are used to enhance scholarly activities including support for travel to present scholarly research papers at national and international conferences, annual subscriptions to specific research journals, membership dues for professional organizations, travel for conducting research, industry internship support and procurement of databases and software for research. To contribute to this fund please designate your gift to FSU Foundation Account 1090.


The DSH Student Fund:

Contributions to this fund are used to support DSH student majors as they progress through our program. Currently our student scholarship program supports approximately 50 students annually. To contribute to this fund please designate your gift to FSU Foundation Account 1064.


The DSH General Operating Fund:

Contributions to this fund are used to support activities including, but not limited to, classroom enhancement, technology upgrades, physical plant maintenance and improvements, etc. To contribute to this fund please designate your gift to FSU Foundation Account 1044.
