Professional Golf Management

The golf industry has experienced tremendous growth in recent years. People are playing this life-long sport more than ever before. Golf now appeals to an increasingly diverse spectrum of the population, causing the multi-billion dollar industry to place greater demands on golf professionals to manage high volume, technologically advanced, and multi-faceted golf club facilities.

The Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University offers a major in Professional Golf Management, one of eighteen programs nationwide accredited by The Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA), to prepare students to meet these challenges. The state of Florida has more golf courses than any other state in the country and is the headquarters for the PGA, LPGA, PGA Tour, and National Golf Foundation. Florida State University has a long, distinguished history of graduating professional golfers and educating students for business and hospitality operations.
