Programs

Founded in 1950, the Florida State University College of Business is one of the ten largest business schools in the nation.

The college offers 10 undergraduate degrees in 12 majors. Graduate students may pursue one of four master's degrees (MBA, MSM - RMI, MS in MIS, MAcc). Seven Ph.D. majors are offered in accounting, finance, hospitality, management, management information systems, marketing, risk management/ insurance, real estate and business law.

FSU is ranked No. 21 by Kiplinger's for the best value in public colleges across the country. (2005).

The master's program in Risk Management/Insurance at FSU, which began in 2000, represents the nation's first fully accredited and most prestigious online graduate program in RMI offered at a major academic institution.

  • The Dedman School of Hospitality has a 100-percent placement rate of its graduates and is a favored hiring source of the world's leading hotel, restaurant and resort industry.
  • The Dedman School of Hospitality is ranked in the top 10 for the quality of its facilities.

Charles A. Bruning Distinguished Speaker Series

To expose our students to exemplary leadership styles, the College of Business regularly hosts prominent business leaders through our Bruning Distinguished Speaker Series. These accomplished business professionals share their knowledge on various topics, providing students with insights intcurrent global and domestic issues.

The Series is underwritten through the generosity of alumnus Charles A. Bruning. Through his ongoing philanthropy, Bruning has also established the Charles A. Bruning Professorship in Entrepreneurship and the John R. Kerr Eminent Scholar Chair in Marketing.
