Gene Taylor
Mr. Taylor joined NCNB, predecessor to Bank of America, in 1969, and held leadership positions across the enterprise – from consumer, to commercial, corporate and investment banking. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Taylor served as President of the Florida bank. He left to serve as President of NationsBank's mid-Atlantic region, and returned to Florida in 1997 as President of the merged NationsBank and Barnett Bank. After the merger of Bank of America and NationsBank in 1998, Mr. Taylor was named to lead consumer and commercial banking operations in the western United States. He later returned to Charlotte in 2001 to take nationwide responsibilities as President of Bank of America Consumer & Commercial Banking. Active in civic affairs throughout his career, Mr. Taylor has served on the boards of community organizations across Bank of America markets. He is a Florida native and received his B.S. in finance from Florida State University. Mr. Taylor and his wife Kathy have three children and three grandchildren, and reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. |
