Software Available for MIS Students

The MIS Department is a member of the Microsoft Developer's Network - Academic Alliance. That membership allows MIS majors to download software from a web site that we maintain.

Available Software

The software available is primarily .NET development software, such as programming languages (e.g., C, C++, VB) and operating systems. Also available are Access, Visio, and Microsoft Project.

Software NOT Available

Application software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is not available.

How to Get It

Obtaining the software requires being an MIS major and having your FSU email address in our system. If you are in our system, you should get an email from the system containing information about how to access the software. We try to get everyone's email address into the system automatically, but it isn't easy. If you haven't received the email containing the instructions, you probably aren't in the system. In that case, contact Dr. Steve Payne in 430 Rovetta.
