CAPTIVEYES and College of Business
Partner for High-Tech Communication System

TALLAHASSEE – CAPTIVEYES and the Florida State University (FSU) College of Business have partnered to build a new communication network that allows university officials to spread university announcements to students, faculty and staff.

CAPTIVEYES placed an eight-screen network of 32" and 40" indoor, hi-definition video displays in the Rovetta Business Building in mid-August. The screens show advertisements, highlight student and faculty achievements and communicate department, college and university initiatives while going green through a paperless communication network.

"This is a great opportunity to improve our ability to reach students, faculty and staff," said Caryn Beck-Dudley, dean of the College of Business at FSU. "The CAPTIVEYES screens let us inform a large number of people very quickly."

The system of video displays is among the first of its kind on a college campus. Silent, 15-second advertisements will be shown on the screens as well as announcements from the College of Business, so the network is cost neutral to FSU.

"University officials are able to spread information through an integrated network of indoor digital billboards," said William Wilson, chief executive officer of CAPTIVEYES. "Best of all, the network provides an efficient means of communication at no cost to FSU or its students."

Wilson and fellow FSU graduate Christopher Morgan founded CAPTIVEYES in Tallahassee in 2006. The company's advertising network includes hi-definition, flat-screen displays at various venues throughout Tallahassee, such as restaurants, gyms, entertainment venues and health care offices.

CAPTIVEYES also utilizes its network for the greater good. The company allocates a certain percentage of its inventory to non-profit organizations. Some of the organizations CAPTIVEYES has worked with include the American Red Cross, Big Bend 211, Le Moyne Center for the Visual Arts, the Sunrise Rotary Club and the Florida Guardian ad Litem Association.

"Our intention has always been to use our communication network for noble purposes, whether for public education campaigns or messages encouraging people to become involved with community groups," Wilson said.

CAPTIVEYES embraces a fresh approach to advertising that effectively reaches target audiences through strategically placed hi-definition, flat-screen monitors in retail, corporate and health care venues. To learn more about CAPTIVEYES, please visit www.captiveyes.com or call (850) 391-0752.
