John M. Crossman is President of Crossman & Company, one of Florida’s largest retail leasing and management firms with over 16 million square feet under leasing and/or management. He has been in the real estate business for over 17 years and has been involved with more than $1 billion in transactions.

As president of Crossman & Company, John supervises retail leasing and marketing initiatives for such notable clients as Publix, Lake Nona, and the Orlando Fashion Square and has recently completed similar services for The Villages. Prior to joining Crossman & Company John was a principal at Trammell Crow Company. John also served as the leader and spokesperson for the company’s National Retail Council which worked to advance the company’s retail strategy and determine the critical needs to be addressed by the company’s retail business practice.

John has been an active member of ICSC for over 17 years. He holds several leadership positions including Co-chair of the South Division of the ICSC Alliance and is an active member of the ICSC Foundation Committee. John is also a Real Estate Executive Advisory Board Member for both Florida State University and the University of Florida and a Retail Executive Board Member for the University of Florida.

As an active speaker and writer on national retail issues, John has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes.com, Shopping Centers Today, Shopping Center Business, Florida Real Estate Journal, The Sun Sentinel, South Florida CEO, The Orlando Sentinel, and each of the Business Journals throughout Florida, among others. In early 2004, John was named Top Central Florida Commercial Real Estate Salesperson by the Orlando Business Journal.
