FSU REAL ESTATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Introduction
Understanding that it takes more than grades to succeed in today's
rapidly changing and demanding job market, internships can be a vital part
of the real estate major's education. Students have the opportunity to gain
the experience needed to compete in today's job market. Employers generally
want to invest in those graduates who have experienced real world situations
and have had success working on-site in business.
The Internship Program
The goal of this program is to help students identify short-term paid positions
within real estate, or real estate-related firms, and for employers to easily
identify students seeking such positions in their locale. Although positions
may be listed throughout the year, students are generally seeking summer internships. The internships are neither credit earning nor under direct university supervision.
To Participate
Students seeking an intern position should complete and submit the Student Interest Form. Submitting this form signals the department to place your resume on the "Participating Students" list and alerts prospective employers of your interest. In addition, students may search the Internship Opportunities list and contact employers directly.
Employers interested in hiring a student intern should complete and submit the Employer Information Form. Submitting this form will email the opportunity to the FSU Department of Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate and Business Law staff. The information will be posted on the Internship Opportunities list for students to access. In addition, employers may search the Participating Students list and contact students directly.
