Getting StartedThe Risk Management/Insurance major in the Master of Science in Management is an online program consisting of 33 hours for applicants with an undergraduate degree. One course is offered the initial term and subsequent terms consist of two courses. The admission deadline for this program is March 1 of each year. A new cohort begins each May. Admission is based upon prior academic record and the applicant's GMAT score. The GMAT requirement is a University requirement; therefore, it cannot be waived. Work experience is also taken into consideration. If you have not taken the GMAT, you should make plans to take the exam as soon as possible. Arrangements for taking the exam and payment of the registration fees are made directly with Educational Testing Services. Information is available from them online or at the following address Pearson VUE The registration application for the test must be received by Pearson VUE at least three (3) weeks prior to the test date. Applicants should have GMAT scores sent directly to the Florida State University College of Business. International applicants, whose native language is not English, must provide official TOEFL scores, regardless of academic background. Paper-based test scores must be 600 or higher, while computer-based test scores must be 250 or higher. The TOEFL must have been taken within the last five (5) years. There are some financial aid options, including student loans. Information on scholarships is available through the RMI program. In terms of other financial aid, please note that financial aid is unavailable for the first semester of the program, since the Financial Aid Office requires registration of at least 6 hours to be eligible for financial aid.
