BenefitsAre there any benefits of a student membership? Yes. The value of membership while in college is the knowledge, skills and practical experience that AMA provides which cannot be gained in the classroom alone. Sure, you can include AMA membership on your resume, but don't let that be your only motivation for joining. When you join the AMA you also receive: The Marketing News: A business newspaper that serves the day-to-day information needs of marketing professionals. Each issue contains the practical articles on the marketing profession, its players, trends, and the news analysis. AMA students receive nine (9) issues of the Marketing News each year (one issue monthly, September through May). Marketing Career Information and Job Hunting Software Package: This interactive software package is available exclusively to AMA student members. One complementary copy of this software has already been offered to each collegiate chapter. The Employment Kit-Your Career Advantage: This is a publication from the AMA that can push you further ahead with practical information to help you develop and implement strategies to land your first professional position. An additional feature is a comprehensive directory of 400 companies -- representing a variety of industries -- that typically recruit recent college graduates. A complementary copy is mailed to all first-time AMA student members upon receipt of payment and completed membership application. Collegiate Connection Newletter: A newsletter that is published bi-annually and mailed to all AMA student members with dues paid. It features articles from recent college graduates, industry news, and career development information. |
