Membership Information

Member ship is open to all Florida State Univeristy students regardless of major.

For New Members, who join AFTER August 1, 2009, the total cost of your rushing semester will be $150.00. This fee includes a one-time fee of $100 for student membership at a National Level and a $50 fee to the local Chapter. Membership costs for Brothers who became members BEFORE August 1, 2009 will pay a local chapter of $40.

After Initiation, Members who have joined AFTER August 1, 2009 will pay a local Chapter fee of $40 and an annual maintenance fee to the National Level Chapter of $70. This Annual Fee will be due each subsequent year by August 1st.

Dues must be paid and will be announced at the first interest meeting (to be inducted this Fall 2009 semester).

There are four requirements to become a member:

  1. FSU Student
  2. Paid Dues - $70 Nationals, $50 Chapter (Altogether $120)
  3. Turn In Nationals Form
  4. Attend Induction Ceremony. If a confict arises, see our ant of the Excutive Board Members.

The PAD Network

Membership in a PAD Pre-Law Chapter opens up a wealth of opportunities to develop contacts with PAD law students, legal educators, attorneys, and judges. Law School.....Look Before You Leap - PAD Pre-Law members receive a Pre-Law Manual produced by Phi Alpha Delta designed to expose PAD Pre-Law members to educational materials currently available from various publishers and organizations relating to law schools, the admission process, funding your legal education, and careers in the law. The streamlined digest of materials will save PAD Pre-Law students hours researching law school information.

Reporter Subscription

PAD Pre-Law members receive a free subscription to the PAD published Reporter. The Reporter is published quarterly and designed for PAD members and updates on programs being sponsored by PAD chapters throughout the United States.

PAD Pre-Law members receive the PAD Pre-Law Pin designed especially for our Pre-Law members.

PAD Pre-Law Membership Card

Distinguishes you as a PAD Pre-Law member and entitles you to worldwide car rental discounts with Hertz, Avis, and National.

PAD LSAT Course Discounts

On a national level PAD has negotiated significant LSAT Preparation Course discounts for PAD Pre-Law members through various LSAT Preparation Companies.
*PAD members receive a 10% discount from Kaplan prep courses.
*PAD members receive a 10% discount from Princeton Review courses.
The money you save is worth the membership costs.
 

PAD MasterCard

PAD Pre-Law students are eligible to apply for the PAD MasterCard used by PAD's worldwide.

PAD Pre-Law Discount

PAD Pre-Law members receive a $10 discount on their initiation fee upon joining a PAD Law School Chapter.

Law School Contacts

PAD assists graduating PAD pre-law seniors in their transition to law school by providing them with names, addresses, and phone numbers of the PAD Law School Chapter Officers at the law school they will attend.
