Mock Trial Information
Each semester Phi Alpha Delta members can participate in an in-house mock
trial competition. Also known as the trial advocacy program, mock trials expose and prepare Phi Alpha Delta
members for future courtroom experiences in law school and beyond. Law
students and local attorneys and judges serve as jurors or judges at the intramural
competition. The intramural competitions also serve as auditions
for our Mock Trial Competition Team at the State and Regional level. This
team competes at the American Mock Trial Association competitions. The 2008-2009 Regional Mock Trial competition will take place at the University of Central Florida in February 2009. The State Competition will take place at the University of Florida in April 2009.
Important Mock Trial Dates
September 18th: Mock Trial Workshop 6-7:30pm at the FSU law school
September 28th: Mock Trial Try-outs 1-5pm at the FSU law school
November 22nd: Garnet and Gold In-house Competition at FSU law school
