The Wireless NetworkThe College of Business participates in the WIN@FSU or Wireless Integrated Network solution at Florida State University. The purpose is to use the WLAN as a flexible, cost-effective alternative to wired LANs. The Wireless Integrated Network at FSU is a local area network, which allows mobile users to connect to the LAN through a wireless connection. In addition to the College of Business, the wireless network is accessible in the Dirac Science Library, the Strozier Library, the Oglesby Union courtyard as well as various colleges and departments including the College of Law, the College of Social Sciences and the Department of Math. Fully wired networks are also available throughout campus at computer labs and residence halls. The wireless network within the College of Business covers all of the classrooms and labs. Some leakage may extend further but is not guaranteed. The SSID for the wireless network is FSUWIN and is available to both Graduate and Undergraduate students. All users of the wireless network are expected to follow the Use of University Information Technology Resources policy, failure to do so may result in the loss of your wireless access. Below are two useful links in regard to the wireless network on campus: If you have any further questions, please visit the Technology Office in room 121. |
